With the COLOUR COOKBOOK, Sedus is publishing the first specialist book to deal exclusively with colour schemes for office areas.

The 196-page compendium was bespoke for architects, interior designers, office consultants and planners and is specifically intended for the professional furnishing of office and work environments.

The extensively researched colour ‘recipes’ can be easily combined and should encourage more colour to be added to everyday workspaces. This includes balanced colour directions as well as carefully compiled collections that optimally support different work situations.

A top-class team of authors…
… consisting of the two colour designers Livia Baum and Jutta Werner. Together, they have been running the Hanover colour and trend agency zukunftStil and develop individual colour and design concepts for companies from different industries. They regularly carry out scientific studies on social and design issues of the future.

With the task of developing a long-term sustainable colour and surface concept for Sedus Stoll AG, the current trends in colour, atmosphere and material for the office area were first recorded and analysed. They then selected fabrics and surfaces which were assigned to the four most popular work situations today – relaxation, concentration, communication and collaboration.

At this point, the book becomes highly practical. The resulting 48 basic recipes or colour and surface combinations can be transferred directly to the room and even individually nuanced. The truly impressive results can be seen and touched: the perfect interplay of office furnishings and colour design creates highly attractive environments for the most valuable asset of every company – the employees.
