Expo 2020 Dubai: Sedus, exclusive supplier to the German pavilion

On October 1 2021, the opening of Expo 2020 took place in Dubai, a year late, and as is traditional, Germany was once again represented. With CAMPUS GERMANY, the German presence at this universal exhibition focused on the theme of sustainability. In its long history of innovation and environmental protection, Germany has produced many concepts and ideas and has set new standards around the world with the so-called “energy revolution.”

It is no coincidence that the German pavilion, from the offices and conference rooms to the cafeteria and the VIP lounge, has relied on Sedus as its exclusive furniture supplier as a “Premium Partner of the Campus.”

Sedus is one of the leading providers of office furniture and workplace concepts. As a company especially focused on value creation, Sedus Stoll AG manufactures its extensive portfolio of “Made in Germany” products locally and stands up for environmental protection and sustainability like no other. The internationally established Sedus brand has eleven subsidiaries in Europe and Dubai and is present in more than 70 countries.

As an office furniture expert and technology pioneer , Sedus has repeatedly set the standard in its more than 150-year history, especially in the areas of ergonomics, design and sustainability. In the process, it has developed standards that have achieved global significance.

Sedus has been practicing active protection of the environmentsince the 1950s, at a time when the term didn’t even exist. Building on these foundations, the green debate that began in the 1970s did not surprise Sedus, nor has the issue of sustainability. On the contrary: Sedus’ pioneering role within the European furniture industry can be seen directly in the chronology of the last 30 years. The number of distinctions ranges from the election of Christof Stoll as “Eco-Manager” of the year in 1993, through the eco-audit according to EU standards in 1995, the first German furniture manufacturer to achieve this, to the EMAS III certification in 2010, Sedus being the first office furniture manufacturer in the world to receive it.
