German Design Award 2020 – Gold for se:spot
Several Sedus products were honoured with the German Design Award 2020 this year. There was also an award for the first time in the “Gold” category for Sedus – the four-legged chair se:spot was particularly impressive.
German Design Award “Winner”
The German Design Council reviews groundbreaking trends* and awards the GDA to innovative projects and products as well as their manufacturers and designers. The international jury takes a close look at various aspects: functionality, use, aesthetic qualities, innovative aspects and special features.
The German Design Council, founded in 1953, is considered a German brand and design authority.
The five award-winning office furniture products were developed by the Sedus Design Team. First presented at the Orgatec 2018 trade fair, the products went into production in 2019 and were of course also used to furnish the new Sedus Smart Office at the headquarters in Dogern.
In the “Sedus Smart Office” approximately 100 employees work together in twelve interdisciplinary areas. It serves as a test laboratory, prototype and reference for scientists and customers who travel to the Upper Rhine from all over the world.
